Wobbly Kay!

Looks like Kaydyn is about to walk soon! Hurray!

Last week Kay went to the zoo and had a great time there, took lots of pictures with the animals and his 3rd uncle took him to the seal and had a wet picture taken sitting on uncle's lap :) Dinner was to celebrate uncle's dad's birthday. Everybody seems to have a good time. Kay ate some duck by himself! yummy :)

Yesterday went swimming again, this time went to another place. But not as good as the pool was lot smaller and the floating ring wasn't tight as last time, so Kay couldn't go all the way by himself. Granny and his eldest aunt took turn to grab onto him in case he slip through the loop. Ah well we'll definitely gonna go back to the previous pool. Much more fun there!

Tonight Kay fell asleep at 6pm, the poor boy didn't get to sleep during the day much, too much temptation must be! When I called granny and chat, Kay didn't know. Later in the evening, granny's phone rang again, Kay woke and thought it's mommy calling, granny went over and told Kay that "mommy called already and granny has already talked to mommy, now go back to sleep ok?" and guess what, Kay really fell back to sleep. What a good boy!! He really knows! :D

Few days ago, Kay starting to say 'wei wei' whenever he pressed his toy phone. After the ringing stops, he'll hold the phone to his ears and go 'wei wei'awwww how cute is that! ^_^ Can't wait to give him cuddles!

One time granny told me that she's trying to get Kay to sleep and he just wouldnt cooperate! Granny knocked on the floor saying 'if this little buddy doesn't sleep soon, there will be little monsters come visit Kay..... come on sleep, quick!' Guess Kay's reaction! Crying? Scared? No! He knocked on the floor with his own hand and then laughed!!! Granny couldn't help laughing with him. The more granny laughs, the more Kay laugh. What a boy!

Missing Kay a lot, seeing his pics everyday is the best time, can't wait to hold him close to me and give him lots of kisses!

Crawling~ walking Kaydyn

A new activities/ walking chair, a new cot, a new drum toy, etc.... Looks like our Mr Kay got quite a few equipments to pass the day with :)

Kaydyn is now very mobile with just himself, he can crawl very fast on his own. One time when granny was in the toilet washing something small and by the time she came out, Kaydyn was already near the milk cans all the way from the sofa! That's some speed providing that granny wasn't exactly slow either... :)

Yesterday afternoon, granny sat on the sofa facing Kaydyn who was playing happily with his toy on the mat, granny used the remote control on the TV, after a few seconds, Kaydyn turned round and looked at the TV; then looked at granny with a puzzled face. Granny thought 'does he want to watch TV?' so she tried again with the remote pose. Again Kay turned round and looked at the TV. Same thing happened 3 times, so it's definitely not coincident that Kay turned round, Kay saw what granny was doing and *expected* something to happen on TV which it didn't! So Granny took Kay with her to try and switch on the TV. Turned out Kay was leaning himself to the TV, wanting to touch the power button. awwwww smart Kay ;)

And oh Kay CAN switch some lights in the living room. Still couldn't manage to turn the kitchen fan on cos that one requires a bit more push. He managed well on other switches so far and everyone he did so, he'll let out a giggle to indicate his triumph ^_^

Eldest uncle invited us out for dinner last night, they went to 白鹿兒, a place where uncle likes a lot. After dinner they went on walking along 故街, took some pictures and of course Kaydyn's pretty face attracted quite a lot of passer-bys. Uncle's wife told mom afterwards that uncle loves Kaydyn to bits apparently! hehehe who doesn't? In front of a cute face like Kay ;) *winks*

Along the street, aunt saw this cute pair of shoes, was gonna buy it for Kay, but when they tried to put one on him, his lips flatened, next was about to cry out...for reasons Kay doesn't like the shoes. Or does he not liking the idea of something wrapping his feet up? Used to be free with just socks on......*shrug* no idea....

Today Kaydyn slept for quite some time (2 hours +) when granny was chatting with her friend at home...sounds like an relaxing afternoon :) well done Kay!

OK mom and dad have to go back to work now, missing and loving you and granny as always! Love you!

Missing Kay

Today is the 2nd time I cried thinking about Kay and seeing his pics....

I have to keep telling myself that whatever we are doing now is for the better future and for Kay himself... we don't enjoy any second of it without Kay nearby. We feel that it's our responsibility to provide for Kay the best thing that he deserves. Must be strong! Must have to!!! For Kay....

Updates on Kay, apparently he doesn't like sitting on his bouncy chair anymore, and he's trying to get rid of the seat belt. When he couldn't take it off, he got fed up and angry and ended up being cranky or crying... Looks like Mr. Kay is bored of his bouncy chair, should we get Mr. Kay a new toy (walking chair?) will find out :)

Probably due to teething, Kay doesn't sleep as tight as he used to, and that of course put strain on granny who is a light-sleeper to start with, having Kay stir at night doesn't help granny rest at night either .... Kaydyn...be a good boy and let granny rest.....

I hope Kay will cooperate and continue to bring happiness to us which he already did so brilliantly :)

I love you babyyyyyy

Crawling, singing Kay ! :D

Kaydyn can crawl now!

This happened few days ago when his 3rd aunt lured him with her iphone. For some reason Kay likes phones, apparently he's trying so hard to grab her phone that he actually crawl half of the mattress length to get it. He smiled at her after grabbing the phone, a taste of victory I guess. Soooooo proud of you babyyyyyyyy :D Only hope that mom and dad can get to see you crawl!! Granny is trying to take pics of you when you crawl.

Yesterday Kaydyn was singing/responding to eldest uncle's singing, everybody laughed so hard lol. Cutie Kay! :)

And oh oh, Granny also told me that when she's in the bathroom washing some stuff and called out to Kay not to move while granny's in the bathroom. After Granny went out to check on Kay, Kay was playing his phone happily. But the phone was at the far corner of the crawling mat, how did he get it and still at the original spot that mom put him....um...... we thought that Kay crawled to get his phone AND THEN crawled back to the middle spot, so when mom came out, he's still appeared as if he hasn't moved! hah! sneaky Kay ;)

Today mommy and daddy went shopping for shoes and bag, my sandals was on its last leg, really not suitable for going back to school. Took us 2 days and more to find a shoes that it's both comfortable and nice looking. Paul was suppose to find that particular shoes we found in Causeway bay for us and gave me discount, but he wasn't well these day and we still haven't heard from them. So mom will have to find it ourselves.... when we were about to give up, there we saw Merabell and got 2 pairs, one pair your daddy likes a lot, said it's different style and it looks really nice on me. So I thought ok :)

Mommy also has a new bag for work now, the old one is kinda falling apart and it's been used for more than 5 years now I think .... was a good bag......now mommy has a new bag to begin her adventure in the new academic year!

Tomorrow I have to go to this reunion with my ex-students in Festival Walk, will tell later :)

Have a good night sleep, be good to granny and be well. Mommy and daddy love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Back to HK

This is the 3rd day we've come back from China....

Currently Kaydyn is with granny in HZ. The night before our flight was as I expected - difficult and emotional. I couldn't help tearing up everytime I think about Kay's face and smile.

He's changed a lot since my last entry. He's louder than before, wanting to talk to you with his yah-yah language, he'll giggle and sometimes laugh on his own. He's very good at working at his bouncy chair, impressing everyone who sees him. His smile is the sweetest. Now he knows who he wants to go to, he'll lean himself towards that person, it's usually me, granny or daddy. First day we arrived in HZ, Kay wasn't too keen on being surrounded by so many people. He was a bit nervous, he didn't cry though which was why everybody was so impressed and interested.

Now time flies, Kay is very used to be with many people in the same room, he's getting more and more comfortable and he knows where he can go to if he wants it. Granny will always be there for him. He welcomes others by lifting his hand out to people for them to kiss *heh* and then followed by a sweet smile.

So far Kay is good at rolling around but still doesn't manage to crawl forward, he can go backward but not forward. We've tried to stimulate him by tempting him with toys and stuff in front but the more he wants it, the more he moves backward! :) We all wonder if Kay will be like daddy who one day just get up and walk. Daddy never crawl :)

Today granny said that Kay started to 'walk' a few steps with her help. He's leaning by the sofa for support. Well at least it's a great start, I am so proud of Kaydyn! This is another milestone! I can't wait to see him walk :)

Today rains a lot. Mom went to Sai Kung Jockey Club training center for a whole day of staff development. Very tired and hot. Had a massive headache attack when we got back to school. Daddy got some good progress at work too and had a meeting with people to talk about his PhD topics. So all going at a good direction.

Granny had a fun day too, seeing Kay crawl, apparently he crawls in the soldier style (Chinese), I've asked for photos already!

Today when granny was feeding Kay rice, he constantly lifting his arm up and look at his fingers. Mom didn't pay attention to that thinking he was just playing. But he repeatedly do that and mom thought could it be something stuck in between his fingers. Turned out there really was a grain of rice stick in between his fingers. Smart Kay! ^_^ so cute!

Saw more Kay's pic today which was always nice. First time I saw it, of course I can't help but cry a bit thinking how nice would it be if I can be there too. But the thought of all the benefit that Kay is enjoying, I confirm myself once again that this is a good idea......

tumnus leaving....

Sometimes it's wrong to walk away, though you think it's over
Knowing there's so much more to say
Suddenly the moment's gone
And all your dreams are upside down
And you just wanna change the way the world goes round

I don't know where to start but looks like we have to let Kaydyn goes back to China with his granny...

The thought of seeing him go really hurts me. He's still at home at the moment, already I couldn't speak without tearing up. I don't know how I'll be the day we head to the airport...

The situation we are in now isn't ideal for Kaydyn. During the day we both need to work, right now his granny is looking after him. Though the flat in HK is way too small and to be honest, the environment isn't great for him either. Granny wishes to go back to China with Kaydyn, where there's fresh air, space, a huge flat. The only downside is we'll have to say goodbye to him. I can't help breaking up thinking about it....I don't wanna be apart from my son...he was in me for that 9 months time and now he's 3 months old...

The only thing that keeps me going is the thought of hoping life will be better in the next 5 years time (preferably sooner) so that Kaydyn can come back to us once again...

Yesterday in the shower, I was thinking how much I remember when I was 1 or 2. I could recall nothing apart from the pics I saw...Hence actually it is a good time for him to go to China with granny, if he has to go at all...

Tell me, have you ever loved and lost somebody
Wished there was a chance to say I'm sorry
Can't you see, that's the way I feel about you and me, Baby
Have you ever felt your heart was breaking
Lookin down the road you should be taking
I should know, cos I loved and lost the day I let you go

Kaydyn: I hope you won't blame mom and dad for having to make this decision. Hope the place in China will do you good. Granny has lots of places to take you to, fresh air, mountains, nice environment. Let mom and dad work in HK and hopefully we'll have more resources for when you come back to us.

Remember mom doesn't want to let you go. It hurts me even thinking about it. Mom is tearing up in the middle of the office writing this to you. I hope you'll understand that it is inevitable for this to happen. Granny is getting older everyday, it's really tiring for her to look after you during the day by herself alone. Though granny has a big flat in China and she can ask for help if she wanted to there...

Whereas in HK our flat, right now, isn't big enough to hold all of us in. Not to mention the environment is not ideal for you either. With granny wanting to take you back and all the benefits that come along, we don't have a choice but to give it a thought. It proves that it's heartbreaking to have to let you go...I'll miss you sleeping next to me head to head...and how your spat our your dummy in the middle of the night and all the time you wouldn't settle when mom and dad are so tired...
I'll miss those times when I try to get you to sleep, you like it when mommy puts her head close to yours :) and how you like to 'speak' to mommy after you had your milk and oh after we wipe your bum bum ;)

Mom hopes that you won't be angry with me for deciding this. It's under situation that we cannot control, we'll be trying as hard as we can, so that you can come back to us as quick as possible. At the mean time, you'll be with granny who also loves you alot. She'll be taking you to mountains and meeting your other grands and uncles and aunties. It's a big family waiting for you there...

You'll probably ask why can't mom and dad keep you in HK and find a maid to help granny here. The reason is maid in HK speaks English whereas granny doesn't. And the thought of letting a maid to look after you whilst mom and dad go to work. This is unacceptable because we don't trust outsider to look after you. So it has to be your granny

Love you baby....

Back!

Hi I am back! Home is home, still feel like it's more homey to keep my blog which I set up for when I was having Kaydyn.

Now I am going to keep going, so that Kaydyn will have a lot to read when he gets older :)
